•  Q. Who can attend Middle Bucks Institute of Technology?

    A. Students in grades 10, 11, & 12 who reside in the Centennial, Central Bucks, Council Rock, or New Hope-Solebury School Districts can attend MBIT.  We also have adult students in our day programs, as space permits.  In addition, we offer adult continuing education courses in the evening.

    Q. How will a typical day look?

    A. Students will attend MBIT for one half of their school day and will spend the other half at their sending high school completing the required academic courses. Transportation is provided by the sending districts.

    Q. How will attending MBIT benefit me?

    A. MBIT students learn new skills that are valued by employers.  You'll experience real-life experiences in your chosen technical field.  You can enter the workforce upon graduation or pursue a post-secondary degree, often with advanced credits.

    Q. How can I learn more about the programs offered?

    A. There are a number of ways available.  Students can come to our annual Open House (scheduled in Janury each year),  sign up for a presentation at your school done by an MBIT staff member, sign up for a tour, or join us for a Career Exploration visit.  Please call us 215-343-2480 for more information or to schedule a visit.

    Q. Do I have to apply to MBIT?

    A. Yes, students are required to complete an application and submit that to their school counselor, who will send over the necessary documentation along with the application.  Applications will be made available to all students in 9th, 10th, & 11th grades.  The first application deadline is usually April 1st each year.

    Q. Can I still participate in after school sports & activities?

    A. Yes!  Students are encouraged to continue with their extra-curricular activities.  Sending schools work cooperatively with MBIT to ensure students can participate.
