Automotive Body & Mechanics
Learn how to refinish cars by prepping and painting auto shapes using waterborne paints, just like the professionals.
Baking and Pastry Arts FULL BOTH SESSIONS
If your dream is to work in a professional pastry kitchen, or you just love the idea of developing your sweet skills, your time has arrived. Discover the techniques used by pastry chefs and bakers by designing, baking, and decorating your own creations.
Basic Auto Repair & Maintenance
Gain the knowledge you will need to be a future driver, car owner and automotive technician. Learn how to perform automotive maintenance procedures to insure the longevity of your vehicle. Students will receive hands-on experience checking and changing fluids, servicing tires, and conducting other simple tasks that keep cars running smoothly.
Building Trades (morning session only)
Develop a basic understanding of diverse trades relevant to contracting, including basic electrical circuits, carpentry, and plumbing. Students will have the opportunity to use power tools to complete projects. Prerequisite: Students must be at least 14 years old.
Computer Networking and Forensics
Focus your computer skills and problem-solving strategies on being better connected. Learn about computer hardware, installation, configuration, diagnosis, and basic networking.
Discover your sense of style while exploring the field of Cosmetology. Learn to style hair and develop your knowledge of skin and hand care by doing facials, make-up and manicures.
Explore the field of Culinary Arts while learning how to read a recipe, use culinary equipment, prepare simple menus, and develop your own recipe books.
Drafting & Design
Develop basic drafting and design skills using AutoCAD and Google Sketch Up software. You will be designing your own house and a 3D model of the house.
Drone Discovery (Afternoon Only)
Discover the exciting world of drone technology. Students will learn and explore the design, operation, and control of Quad Copter Drones. Learn how to setup, adjust, and fly your very own Quad Copter Drone. Participate in an obstacle course competition exploring your newfound skills.
Explore how basic electrical circuits work! Design and wire low voltage doorbell circuits, lighting and receptacle circuits, switch operations from single and multiple spots. Discover how relays work.
Engineering Exploration & Design (Morning Only)
Use your problem solving skills and examine fundamental engineering principles related to simple machines. Students will experience these principals in action through hands-on learning activities utilizing the K’NEX Education Intro to Simple Machines kit.
Medical & Health Professions
Discover the wide variety of careers available in the health care field while learning some of the necessary skills and concepts, including medical terminology and basic vital signs.
Discover basic welding techniques including MIG welding, brazing processes and oxyacetylene that can be used to design and create a unique paperweight. Prerequisite: Students must be at least 14 years old.
