  • This CompTIA Authorized Academy offers students the opportunity to study a variety of topics, including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, in which students will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, administer, and support the primary services of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems; CompTIA A+ certification, an international vendor-neutral certification, which validates the latest skills needed by today’s computer support professionals; CompTIA Network+ certification, which allows students to learn the technology and theory behind local area networks (LAN) through design and implementation; and CompTIA Security+ certification, which introduces students to industry-wide topics including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attacks, and operations and organizational security. Students will further be introduced to virtual computing and its uses throughout the computer industry, as well as computer forensics, a branch of forensic science pertaining to legal evidence found in computers and digital media storage. In addition, students will learn about network cabling technology, including: copper cabling systems, connectors, grounding, bonding, electrical protection, termination functions, and safety. Lastly, students are introduced to the digital environment. This program provides an excellent foundation of technical knowledge for college and/or direct employment.
