• What is it?

Students are trained in the different types, sizes
and uses of metal, electrodes, welding rods,
blueprints, and welding symbols, the use of
measuring instruments, hand tools, and portable
    grinders. Theory in metallurgy, electrical
principles, blueprint reading, layout and design,
and CNC programming on fabrication equipment
is provided. Practical problems in math,
preparation of material lists, cost estimating and
methods of quality assurance are also covered.

    What will I do?

This instructional program introduces students to
the following welding process; oxy/fuel welding,
cutting and brazing, shielded metal arc, gas metal
arc, gas tungsten arc, flux core, carbon arc, and
plasma cutting using manual and Computerized
    Numerical Control (CNC) programming welding
    processes.
