• 2024-2025 School Year

    Dear Student and Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where student success is our first priority.  You have made an excellent decision in selecting and developing a career pathway in our Plumbing & Heating Technology Program.  We are here to assist you in achieving your goals by providing a supportive environment for high-quality education.  Please check out our Plumbing program video on www.mbit.org: go to Programs and then Plumbing & Heating Technology

Plumbing & Heating Technologies is one of the most dynamic and growth-oriented industries in today’s society.  The content of our three-year course closely parallels both secondary and post-secondary course content of trade and technical schools with every effort being made by our staff to provide for the individual capabilities of the student.  In return, I ask that the student make every effort to do his or her best.

Plumbing students will be required to purchase the following basic materials for their use in the program:

    1. One small Spiral bound notebook 100-page for homework assignments

    2. Tool Kit (see list on back of this page)

    3. Sturdy work boots to be worn at all times.  Sneakers, sandals and dress shoes are not permitted.

    4. Sturdy work pants or jeans are required (shorts and sweatpants are not permitted. Loose, baggy, torn or damaged clothes are not permitted).

    5. School work shirt will be required.  This can be purchased directly from the school store. (see below)

    6. Student Activity Fee (paid via PowerSchool Information Registration System)

    7. OSHA Certification Fee (All students)

All MBIT students are required to wear a uniform daily.  If students do not have the required apparel, they will NOT be permitted to participate in the classroom activities, which will result in a zero on their daily assessment. Uniforms for the program can be purchased at www.mbitschoolstore.com beginning August 1st.  The website will specify what is required and recommended for purchase. Uniforms should be ordered no later than August 15 so students will have them for the first week of school. Students will receive their uniform orders in their designated classroom.

Please assist your student in getting the required materials and supplies by the first day of school so that he/she can immediately participate in all activities.  Feel free to contact me if there are any questions, or if you have financial needs that make it difficult to provide for the requirements of the program.

Once you receive notification, please complete the necessary student information, emergency forms and invoice payment via the PowerSchool Information Registration System by August 31, 2024. Students will not be permitted to participate in their labs until all forms are completed.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    John McCuen
