    Welcome to Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where your son’s or daughter’s success is our priority. You have made an excellent decision in selecting and developing a career pathway in our Medical & Health Professions Program. We are here to assist you in achieving your goals by providing a supportive environment for high-quality education.


    Below is a list of items you will need in level 100 to be successful:


    1. Uniform Top and Bottom – to be purchased directly from the manufacturer – see instructions below.
    2. Non-canvas, black clinic shoes or black leather sneakers– appropriate for clinical setting (purchased by individual). To be worn exclusively during class and clinical.
    3. Stationery Supplies (see enclosed list)
    4. Student Activity Fee
    5. Workbook
    6. Watch with second hand (purchased by individual).
    The uniform is to be purchased directly from Slom’s Professional Uniforms, 1475 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001. You can order online via www.sloms-cherokeeonline.com.
    1.) When site appears, on the upper right side of the screen Hover over the words “Sign In” and of the 2 options, pick “Group Login”.
    2.) Under “New Customer Join Us”, click the box to create a new account.
    3.) Complete the registration information and make sure to click the box labeled Part of a group? (This insures you get the pricing agreed upon for MBIT Students)
    4.) A group box will appear. Type in all Capitals: CVT99, then click Register.
    5.) At the next screen towards the bottom right, you will see 2 boxes: “Shop for Tops” or “Shop for Bottoms”. These boxes will take you to shopping choices and pricing.
    6.) Complete your order and checkout.

    Level 200 Students

    c. Current Influenza Vaccine (Flu Shot, provide own documentation)
    d. Current COVID-19 Vaccine (provide copies of front and back of vaccination card)
    2. Health History (Completed via PowerSchool Information Registration System)
    3. *Act 34 - PA Criminal Record Check Clearance
    a. Use instructions on back of this letter to obtain over the internet.
    4. *PA Child Abuse Clearance
    a. Use instructions on back of this letter to obtain over the internet.
    5. *Urine Drug Screening (Form Enclosed)
    6. Uniform – to be purchased directly from the manufacturer see instructions below.
    a. You will be required to be in full uniform by September 30, 2021

    The state of Pennsylvania and/or our clinical affiliation sites mandate that a physical, with proof of related immunizations and vaccinations, urine drug screen and the request for criminal checks are kept on file with the school for participation in clinical. Please be advised that Thomas Jefferson University/Abington Health has informed us that students planning to participate in a clinical experience during the 2021-2022 academic year must produce their COVID-19 vaccination card with proof that they have received their final dose of a U.S. FDA authorized vaccine no later than July 15, 2021. Students who elect not to receive the COVID-19 vaccination will not be penalized, and will be provided an alternative assignment to complete during the designated clinical period. Students must complete and submit all required documentation, by August 27, 2021, in order to participate in clinical rotations. Again, COVID-19 vaccination proof must be submitted no later than July 15, 2021. Proof of COVID-19 vaccine can be emailed to studentservices@mbit.org.

    In addition, please be advised, that in accordance with our clinical sites, Acrylic Nails or other type of nail applications are NOT permitted.


    *** Students must complete and submit all required documentation, by the due date, in order to participate in clinical rotations.
    Please complete the necessary emergency contact information, health history, media and internet permissions, etc. and invoice payment via PowerSchool Information Registration System by August 27, 2021. Students will not be permitted to participate in their labs until all forms are completed. Failure to comply with dress code or submission of forms will result in the loss of your clinical experience for the entire school year.

    Child Abuse Clearances are required for clinical. Per our clinical site policies, they will NOT accept the volunteer clearance. Make sure to check the appropriate boxes.

    300 Level Students
