    Dear Student and Parent/Guardian:

     

    Welcome to Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where student success is our first priority.  We are very pleased that you have chosen to be a part of the Networking & Operating Systems Security Program at Middle Bucks for the upcoming school year.  We have been busy preparing to make your educational career at Middle Bucks the best possible and we hope you are looking forward to working together as much as we are.

     

    The CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Cloud+ (http://www.comptia.org) professional certification are on the agenda for the first year of your program and cover a wide range of hardware and software technologies.  We will begin to build your foundation of knowledge in Networking & Operating Systems Security during your first year by working with the theories of Personal Computers Hardware, Software, Cloud computing/platforms, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).  It promises to be a very busy year, filled with a lot of hands-on activities and good fun, and you will be amazed at how much you have learned by June!

     

    Another aspect of your first year in this program is that you will begin to build your professional library.  The textbooks you will need this year are the CompTIA: IT Fundamentals, and CompTIA A+ Certification.   The books and software are not available from bookstores or on-line, so you will be able to purchase them here at Middle Bucks.  Additionally, all students at MBIT are required to pay a fee for student activities.  Additional books may be added to the program throughout the year.

     

    All MBIT students are required to wear a uniform daily.  If students do not have the required apparel, they will NOT be permitted to participate in the classroom activities, which will result in a zero on their daily assessment. Uniforms for the program can be purchased at www.mbitschoolstore.com beginning on August 1st.  The website will specify what is required and recommended for purchase. Uniforms should be ordered no later than August 15th so students will have them for the first week of school. Students will receive their uniform orders in their designated classroom. 

     

    Please complete the necessary student information, emergency forms and invoice payment via the PowerSchool Information Registration System by August 31, 2024. Students will not be permitted to participate in their labs until all forms are completed. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

     

    Have a super summer vacation and get ready to come back in early September for a busy and successful school year. See you on September 3, 2024.

    Welcome to the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where student success is our first commitment.  I am very pleased that you have chosen to return to the Networking & Operating Systems Security program at Middle Bucks for the upcoming school year.  We have been busy preparing to make your educational career at Middle Bucks the best possible and I hope you are looking forward to working together as much as I am.

     

    We will be staring the year with CompTIA Network+ and then move onto Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administration. This year and covers a wide range of hardware and software technologies.  We will continue to build your foundational skill set in the Computer field by working with the theories of Personal Computers Hardware, Software, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), and the course will finish with you actually building your own Virtual LAN in the classroom.  It promises to be a very busy year, filled with a lot of hands-on activities and good fun, and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ve learned by June!
