2020-2021 School Year
Welcome to Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where student success is our first priority. You have made an excellent decision in selecting and developing a career pathway in our Sports Therapy and Exercise Management program. We are here to assist you in achieving your goals by providing a supportive environment for high-quality education.
I am proud and excited to be the instructor of the Sports Therapy and Exercise Management Program at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. This structured and multifaceted program encompasses the essential elements of Physical Therapy, Athletic Training and Personal Training. Your son/daughter’s commitment to the program will enhance their personal and professional development, making him/her a future asset to the profession.
Due to the nature of the coursework, the following are specific program requirements that are necessary for your son/daughter’s safety and success.
1. One three inch 3-ring binder
2. *Pre-participation physical by your Doctor (all students)
*Note-We are deferring the requirement of clearances and physicals until we know when students will be returning to clinical. Students and their parent/guardian will have one-month minimum notice to complete these requirements; however, all required forms must be submitted before the student will be permitted to participate in the clinical experience.
3. Student Activity Fee and workbooks
4. Jeans or khaki pants (Loose, baggy, torn or damaged clothes are not permitted).
As per the MBIT Health & Safety Plan, all locker rooms are closed therefore, students will not need to purchase a uniform shirt at this time. However, all MBIT students are required to wear the items listed above as their uniform daily. If students do not have the required apparel, listed above, they will NOT be permitted to participate in the classroom activities which will result in a zero on their daily assessment.
Please complete the necessary student information, emergency contact information and invoice payment via Infosnap by August 31, 2020. Students will not be permitted to participate in their labs until all forms are completed. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
I hope you all have an amazing and safe summer and look forward to hitting the ground running in September for a busy and successful school year. See you on September 1, 2020.
Very truly yours,
Sports Therapy and Exercise Management Instructor
