    2024-2025 School Year

    Dear Student and Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT), where student success is our first priority. You have made an excellent decision in selecting and developing a career pathway in our Multimedia Technology Program (MMT). We are here to assist you in achieving your goals by providing a supportive environment for high-quality education.

Multimedia Technology students are provided a unique opportunity to learn in an industry standard, 21st century learning environment that has received national recognition for its innovation, leadership and educational excellence. Regardless of aptitude when entering the program, students over the years have exited the program with the knowledge, skillset and attitude necessary to pursue a post-secondary degree or enter the workforce. This is a direct result of student initiative as well as ability to work independently and collaboratively with peers. The established learning environment affords students the opportunity to reach their full potential by challenging them with rich, meaningful, and rigorous assignments. Students are required to complete all assignments, which build upon prior knowledge.

Since this is a Multimedia Technology program, enrolled students frequently interact with the public (i.e., State Representatives, local non-profits, etc.); therefore, all students are required to wear a uniform daily. If students do not have the required apparel, they will NOT be permitted to participate in classroom activities, which will result in a zero on their daily employability assessment. The uniform consists of a black polo shirt with program logo and plain or Khaki style pant (any color). No designer jeans with tears, no pajamas or sweatpants. MMT uniforms can be purchased at www.mbitschoolstore.com beginning on August 1st and should be ordered no later than August 15th.

In advance of the school year, students are required to:

    • Pay the $30 Student Activity Fee. This should be paid via the PowerSchool Information Registration System by August 31, 2024.

    • Complete the necessary student information, emergency forms via the PowerSchool Information Registration System by August 31, 2024.

Students will not be permitted to participate in their labs until all forms are completed. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation. Please note: Smartphones are not permitted in the classroom or lab areas.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at jdavey@mbit.org. As mentioned at the New Student Orientation, you can find information about the program on the Multimedia Technology website https://www.mbit.org/Domain/51. I look forward to a very exciting year and working with you in preparation for your future. See you on September 3, 2024.

    Sincerely,

    Jim Davey
